REASONS TO HAVE YOUR TREE STUMP REMOVED
You may have had an old tree stump in your garden for years. When you have your tree cut down you may think that the tree stump wont bother you but it soon becomes an eye sore and Grind Force have the solution. Tree stumps can often be dangerous sitting just above the earth where people can easily trip over them. Another problems with tree stumps is Honey Fungus which can spread disease to other trees / plants in your garden. Just because the tree has been chopped down it doesn't mean it's dead, shoots often grow from the stump as the tree tries to regrow.
Almost half the jobs that we get called out to have had the tree stump treated when chemicals when the tree is cut down. Unfortunately these can take several years to work. Grind Force can remove the tree stump usually within an hour depending upon the size of the stump and it's location.
The tree at this property had been cut down some six months before we were called out to remove the stump. As you can see from the picture on the right holes had been drilled into the stump and it had been treated with chemicals.
Fresh shoots can be seen growing from the stump.
This tree stump took just over an hour to remove. As you can see from the pictures above the stump is ground down to small wood chippings which can be used as mulch. We use boarding around the stump when using the stump grinder to stop any stones from flying around and damaging your property.
Trees are beautiful things and the decision of having one removed from your garden shouldn't be taken lightly. We are not tree surgeons and only remove stumps but regularly refer work to tree surgeons around the area. The pictures below are of a thirty year old tree that the owner decided was getting too large for the garden.
All that was left of the stump when we had finished was the chippings created by the stump grinder. We can take these chippings away from your property for you if you request but they really are good for using as mulch around the garden.
